As Oxy Low Carbon Ventures' Vice President of Commercial Development, Scott Willis oversees project development, scaling them up to deployment. His team partners with organizations across industries to advance innovative commercial and engineering strategies to capture CO2 emissions and permanently sequester them using existing infrastructure and operations. He also leads major infrastructure development with a focus on value-added engineering and design.
With over 30 years of industry and company experience, Scott has significant expertise in engineering, major projects and operations management. He previously spent over 20 years with OxyChem, Occidental’s chemical subsidiary. He also completed international assignments with Oxy Joint Ventures, where he was Vice President of Operations of Dolphin Energy in Qatar and Al Hosn Gas in Abu Dhabi. As Director of Major Projects, he was responsible for projects in the Middle East and Columbia, as well as facility engineering and asset integrity for the domestic and international assets.
He serves on various joint venture committees. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.Go Back
